JKSSB resumes examination process for more than 1200 posts

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) resumed examination process after 2nd wave of COVID-19 pandemic. The Computer Based Written Test (CBT) Examination for more than 1200 posts of Health & Medical Education Department advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2021 scheduled from 17.08.2021 to 24.08.2021 commenced today.

About 8810 candidates were scheduled to appear at 35 different locations/venues in Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla and Jammu districts in multiple batches from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm on 17.08.2021 for 71 posts out of which 4962 (56.32%) candidates actually appeared on 17.08.2021.

The JKSSB prioritised the CBT for various categories of paramedical posts of Health & Medical Education Department in view of the felt need of providing additional manpower/staff to Health facilities due to situation arising out of COVID-19 and its anticipated 3 rd Wave.

The CBT examination was conducted smoothly, fairly and transparently with the active cooperation and support of District Administration of Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla and Jammu districts and Jammu and Kashmir Police and Health departments. A multi layered structure for supervision was established with one Centre Observer and Centre Magistrate for each Examination Centre deployed by respective District Administrations, in addition to the Observer deputed by JKSSB.

The aspiring candidates scheduled to appear in the coming days, are once again cautioned to desist from indulging in malpractices as strict action shall be taken against erring candidates by the J&K Services Selection Board including debarring of such candidates for appearing in future examinations to be conducted by J&K SSB.
