JMC starts extensive fogging across Jammu to contain dengue cases

In wake of rising dengue cases in Jammu, the Jammu Municipal Corporation has intensified fogging in different areas of the city.

JMC has been covering each area falling within its jurisdiction keeping in view the increasing cases of dengue in Jammu city as per the directions of commissioner, JMC and under overall supervision of Health Officer, as per the daily schedule prepared for the purpose. The drives are being undertaking with the cooperation of Anti malaria wing.

JMC fogging for dengue in Jammu

Commissioner, JMC Avny Lavasa has issued clear cut  directions to health wing of JMC to put in place the sufficient number of men and machinery so that every nook and corner of the city can be covered in respect of fogging to avoid the chances of dengue, as cases of Dengue are on the higher sides in Jammu. The aim of launching fogging drive is to eradicate the breeding of mosquitoes responsible of dengue.

The Commissioner has appealed to the general public to come forward and extend their helping hands to JMC so that dengue can be eradicated and also added that residents should pay attention that waste water should not be accumulated which is a main cause of the vector borne disease.
