The third and final book in the “Kashmir is Free” trilogy has now been published. Called “Kashmir is Free Finally” the book carries forward the story from Book I (Kashmir is Free-August 2018), in which the author Dr. Arun Kumar (an IAS officer of 1979 batch of the J&K Cadre) had painted a scenario in which India had walked out of Kashmir and made Kashmir FREE.

In Book II (Kashmir Thinks It’s Free- February 2019), the author had discussed Kashmir’s struggle to stand on its own feet, and its inevitable takeover by Pakistan/ISIS.

In Book III, the latest, Dr. Kumar discusses India’s response to ISIS’ Gązwa-e-Hind—conquering India—dream. And the unavoidable questions….

Should India take the war deeper inside Pakistan and implement its old dream of splitting Pakistan into five parts, say, Balochistan, Sindh, Pakhtoonistan, Baltistan, and Punjab? But does it make any sense to spread Pakistan’s jihadi factories over five new states?

And can India really do this to a nuclear Pakistan? And will Pakistan’s friends like USA, China, and Saudi Arabia just wait and watch while India carries out its little Operation Panchjanya?

So, if Kashmir problem exists because Pakistan exists, will Kashmir problem be over if Pakistan disappears? And then, will Kashmir be free finally from under-development, pollution, encroachment, corruption, and radical Islam?

According to the author, Kashmir is Free Finally is that fictional, what-if peep in to a not-too-distant future when all these questions get answered in a manner that will shock and awe you.

Spread over 406 pages and 104 chapters, this astoundingly realistic and edge-of-the-seat politico-bureaucratic thriller will grip you by the throat and shake you to the core when you finish its almost 83,000-words of pure adrenaline rush.

As an ex-J&K hand, who has served the nooks and crannies of J&K for over 37 years, lead author Arun Kumar believes he’s more than qualified to do justice to this thrilling plot. As Chief Executive Officer for over six years from May 2002 to June 2008, readers may recall Dr. Kumar’s outstanding contribution to professionalizing and modernizing the two world famous Shrine Boards viz Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) and Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).  He is the one who introduced helicopter services for both these shrines and electric carts for Vaishno Devi.

Co-author Prasenjeet Kumar brings his formidable experience of writing 34 books (of which 70 titles are now translated in to six international languages viz. French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese) to tighten up the story and to bring out its human and social dimensions.

The book is available world-wide in both print and eBook version from online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart.
