Minister in the PDP-Congress regime Jatinder Singh alias Babu Singh has been absconding in a Hawala money seizure case in which he has been named. However the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has said that the police will get him.
As per the information Rs 6.90 lakh were seized by Jammu police from a person who was arrested. The accused Mohammad Shareef Shah from whom cash was recovered in Jammu had told the police that he was carrying the money on orders of former minister Jatinder Singh alias Babu Singh.
Babu was a minister during the PDP-Congress regime in Jammu and Kashmir.
DGP on Saturday said that raids were being conducted to nab Babu Singh and he will be arrested soon. The DGP was speaking on the sideline of an event of Border Security Force in Udhampur district.
