The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Ramban of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has written to the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban to provide safety for completion of an Oxygen generation plant.
Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) had protested at the site of Oxygen generation plant in Ramban after which police had also detained some of the protesters.
members of ABVP started protests against the district administration for demolishing a toilet block and a computer lab at the Government Higher Secondary School in Ramban. The structures were demolished to pave way an oxygen plant for the Trauma Hospital adjoining the school.
The PIU of NHAI has stated that the district administration should provide safe working environment to the workers who are constructing the plant.
However ABVP has demanded magisterial inquiry over the alleged brutal attacks of police on its activists in Ramban and suspension of SHO Ramban.
