In response to a news story about allotment of land in the Industrial area of Phyang to non-locals by SICOP, posted in the WhatsApp group Greater Ladakh Update, the Secretary Industries & Commerce, Ladakh Saugat Biswas has categorically denied the report.
In a tweet, he said that no land has been allotted to any applicant in Phyang, Leh as being claimed on the social media. There is no such offer in place, he adds. In order to stop such rumours among people through fake news, the administration has alerted people/groups from sharing unverified texts and misleading information.
