Pak terror groups planning attacks on Jammu temples: Report

Intelligence agencies have suggested that Pakistan-backed terror organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba is planning to carry out attacks on temples of Jammu for creating communal tensions, a report stated.

As per the report in India Today, terror organizations could target religious places on 5th of August and Independence Day on 15th of August. Terror organizations are looking to plant explosives at crowded places near temples in Jammu.

Thus, security agencies are on high alert in Jammu.

Recently, there have been drone attacks in the region. In February, a 7 kg improvised explosive device (IED) was found near the bus stand area in old Jammu city.

Also the attack on June 27 took place when IEDs were dropped on air force station. Also another incident took place when a drone flew in from Pakistan in the Akhnoor area of Jammu district on July 23rd.
