Two Jammu based PDP leaders under scanner in terror funding case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently interrogating arrested Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, close-aide of former chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti. This interrogation has revealed names of some other PDP leaders in the terror funding and money laundering cases.

Many others who closely work with Mehbooba Mufti are already detained or questioned by the central agencies. Two youth leaders in Jammu who are Para’s assistant are also being scrutinized. Reliable sources told that agencies have called one of the Jammu based aide of PDP’s youth wing president for questioning. He is said to be one of Para’s closest assistant.

Sources tell that this youth leader of PDP was working as an informer to Para for the last five years. His main task was to share all important information with Para. Agencies were looking for this youth leader after Para was arrested. Agencies called him for questioning because Para repeatedly took his name during interrogation. Sources say that this leader was proactive on many controversial issues so that he can prove his loyalty to Para.

Unconfirmed reports said that this leader was feared after Para was arrested. In an attempt to avoid agencies, this leader went to Delhi along with other leaders in support of agitating farmers. Reliable sources further said that one another youth leader, who has also close links with Para in Jammu, has switched off his phone fearing action after central agencies detained Sartaj Madni and Peerzada Mansoor. This leader is infamous for giving communal speeches. He has gone underground for the last one week fearing arrest.

Waheed Para is the youth wing president of PDP. He was arrested in November last year for allegedly paying Rs 10 lakh to terrorist organisation Hizb-ul-Mujahideen to get its support for 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
