Since the rise in civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir, the employees of the Education Department which were recruited under the Prime Minister’s package have demanded imparting online classes to the students from home.
This step comes after several days after the two teachers were shot dead during school hours in Srinagar. Moreover, demand of teachers of the minority community for leave was dismissed by the government.
The government clearly said that the department had not issued any order regarding mass leave or mass transfer of academic or non-academic staff for minority employees.
Now the employees recruited under the PM package have reached the divisional administration seeking exemption from attending schools.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, PandurangKondbarao Pole has taken up the matter with the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK).
