In a major development Jammu and Kashmir government has recently launched online property portal but has turned into a headache for the employees.

The latest system of Property Returns often develops snags and belated OTPs creating difficulties, as per Early Times.

In December, last year the portal namely https://prs.jk.gov.in was developed and received much highlight with claims being made by the government that the portal was user-friendly and could be assessed easily. The portal would help reduce the load of work for the employees which were done manually. Also it would help access and monitoring of the property details of all employees, especially while processing vigilance clearances in their favor, besides assisting the Anti Corruption Bureau in investigating the cases of disproportionate assets expeditiously.

But it has been alleged that employees are facing difficulties in operating the portal as it suddenly develops some snags or errors which hinders work and leads to wastage of time. Several employees have complained that it takes a lot of time to upload property details. Moreover the process is lengthy as first it includes registering on the portal by entering employee code, then choosing a password then entering OTP to enter the portal for uploading details. Sometimes OTP takes a lot of time to receive but later portal simply reveals that the OTP is expired.

Many other employees have complained that portal after consuming much time tells that the site is busy, please try after some time. Sometimes the portal develops error right before the last step and the employee has to start the whole process once again. Employees said that administration must come with some help centers to assist the department for such issues.
