Required to declare result in 20 days, Jammu University fails even after 140 days

In what has come as a surprise, University of Jammu takes over 140 days to declare the result of different department despite the requirement of 20 days as per the assessment by different agencies.

In a meeting with all senior faculty members and officers, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Umesh Rai was informed about the delay in declaration of result by different departments of the varsity.

Ginny Dogra, Deputy Director of Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance while giving presentation to the faculty members and VC at an auditorium at the varsity informed that the delays in declaration of result every year have caused an impact on ranking of the varsity.

She informed that it is required by the assessment agencies like NAAC and NIRF to declare the result as soon as possible after the examination have been conducted.

Controller of Examination, Sanjeev Mahajan who was also present during the discussion informed the VC that his department keeps on reminding the department to send the mark list for declaration of result but they fail most of the times.

Ginny Dogra also informed that the assessment agencies also ask the varsity about the number of students who got employment after they complete their degree from Jammu University, but departments fail to provide the same as well.
