Ludhiana police has charged a city resident with sedition for posting false information on his social media account regarding Coronavirus pandemic.
Simranjit Singh of Dharmpura area of Ludhiana had in a post alleged that there was severe deficiency of ventilators in Ludhiana and that money could be contributed towards an NGO that has already collected Rs 2.50 lakh to purchase ventilators.
Assistant Sub Inspector Surjit Singh who is investigating the case said that the accused posted a fake message and created panic among people.
