Social distancing norms were thrown to wind during the vaccination drive of age group 18-45 at the University of Jammu.

Jammu University administration took out a circular stating that all the employees of the university who are in the age group of 18-44 years are required to reach the venue to get themselves vaccinated.

The vaccination drive started at Gymnasium Hall, Directorate of Sports JU at around 10 am on Friday. While the circular stated that Covid related SOPs should be followed at the venue, those who had come to get vaccinated were seen flouting the norms.

A large number of university employees came at a same time that resulted in rush at the venue and exposed the ill-planning of the administration of Jammu University authorities.

Hundreds of people in a closed hall is a major risk and could escalate into many of them getting infected.
