Special cell to keep an eye on the progress of PMJAY Sehat registration in Srinagar

In order to look out for the development and progress of registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT) and generation of Golden Cards in Srinagar district a meeting was held by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad.

The meeting was conducted to look out at the progress and achievements made after the implementation of AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in Srinagar district.

It was informed in the meeting that 376693 individuals in Srinagar district have been registered with Ayushman Bharat till now.

Discussions were held regarding registration of SEHAT scheme and it was advised to the concerned officials to achieve the set target.

DC advised to build up a special cell under ADDC to review the progress of PM-JAY Sehat registration on daily basis to achieve the desired target. Also it was directed that concerned officials must start Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities for speeding up the registration process. He also called for utilizing the services of the Asha and Anganwari Workers in mobilising the public for the registration process.

DC also put a light on the benefits of the scheme that AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme is one of the most ambitious schemes launched by the government to provide free of cost Universal Health Insurance Coverage up to Rs. 5 lakh per family on a floater basis in convergence with Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).

Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Gulzar Ahmad, SDM West, Owais Mushtaq, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, all Tehsildars, Block Development Officers, Zonal Medical Officers and District Coordinator CSC were also present in the meeting.
