UAE Ambassador to arrive in Jammu and Kashmir with business delegation soon

In a major developmental initiative, United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by its Ambassador to India Dr Ahmed Albanna will arrive in Jammu and Kashmir soon. Last month only, a business delegation from the UAE visited Jammu and Kashmir to explore business opportunities.

The delegation led by the UAE Ambassador comprises Lulu Group Chairman and Managing Director Yusuff Ali, DP World Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Emaar Properties Founder and Managing Director Mohammad Ali Alabbar among others.

The total investments from the UAE have been pegged at around Rs 3000 crore. Investments from UAE are attracted in the sectors like Infrastructure, Information Technology, Hospitality and Food Processing. As per reports, after investment from the UAE, the J&K government also mulling to attract investments from other countries after the groundbreaking ceremony is over. The J&K government till now allotted or is in the process of allotment of total 19125 kanals of land to 1105 applicants in Jammu division for total investments worth Rs 17,968 crore.
Similarly, in the Kashmir valley, 19897 kanals of land has been allotted or is in the final process of allotment to 3339 applicants for an investments amounting to Rs 24187 crore, reportedly.

J&K government is getting a very positive response from other countries for business and investments and administration anticipates investments to surpass Rs 70,000 crore. In December, government organized a Real Estate Summit in Jammu and is mulling to organize a similar summit in Kashmir soon.
