A wholesale medical agency dealing with sale of medicinal drugs has been sealed while two person have been detained as around one hundred and ten strips of tablets were recovered from it without any record raising suspicion of use of these tablets in drugs abuse.
In an official statement, Police in Rajouri said that a team headed by Deputy SP Headquarter Mudassir Hussain and SHO Rajouri Mohammad Showket Chowdhary alongwith Drugs Inspector Mohammad Shakoor raided a medical agency namely Brothers Agency dealing with wholesale of medicinal drugs.
During inspection and verification of premises, 110 strips of drugs (Tapendadol) were recovered having no required details about purchase, sale raising suspicion of use of this drug in abuse.
Taking a note of it, the said medical agency has been sealed as per law of land.
Two person running the establishment have been detained who include Zafer Iqbal son of Abdul Rashid and his brother Mohammad Rafi son of Abdul Rashid, residents of ward 6, Salani Rajouri.
The complex has been sealed while further legal proceedings have been taken up by police in association with Drugs Inspector.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Amritpal Singh said that war against drugs is among the top most priorities of Jammu and Kashmir with strict action against those involved in luring youth in addiction is being taken.
While mentioning about a series of raids, inspections conducted in the district in recent past and arrest of accused, SSP Rajouri said that the action will remain continue.
